11Onze wins “Webby Honoree” alongside Bank of America

11Onze continues to be a force beyond its weight. The leading next-generation community fintech in Europe, 11Onze, announced that its Private Social Network La Plaça has been honored for Best Websites and Mobile Sites in Financial Services/Banking category in the acclaimed 26th Annual Webby Awards. It won this coveted honour alongside heavy-hitters such as Yahoo Finance, Merrill Investing, Morgan Stanley and the Bank of America.

It was chosen from more than 14300 entries. Webby Honoree is granted to only the top 20% of all work entered in the 26th Annual Webby Awards

The recognition is a testament to the fact that small fintech are able to compete with large banks when it comes to innovation and banking. “We are delighted to be chosen as “Webby Honoree” for innovation and creativity. Especially, being acknowledged alongside the likes of Yahoo Finance, Morgan Stanley and the Bank of America is remarkable,” said James Séne, Chairman of 11Onze.

“La Plaça is what makes us unique. It’s an innovative fincom – a fusion of a social network and a fintech to deliver community-driven financial services.

La Plaça started as a digital experience that combined social networking with a learning management system (LMS) and has since evolved into a community place for our members to buy products and services. Moving forward they will also be able to sell their goods and services to other members.”

To date, La Plaça has attracted more than 13,000 members, uploaded more than 1,212 videos and 1,131 online posts in three languages (English, Catalan, Spanish) and has seen record engagement rates across social media platforms including Facebook (299.9%), YouTube (133%), Twitter (88%) and Instagram (95%).

While the average engagement rate for a neobank or fintech platform is around 3-55%, 11Onze’s digital engagement metrics are dwarfing its competitors and paving the way for the company’s expansion into other parts of Europe.

“Honorees like 11Onze are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet,” said Claire Graves, President of The Webby Awards. “It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from more than 14,300 entries we received this year.”
