3attar was established in 2019. It is a B2C platform which provides customers with access to healthy foods and other products, as well as a delivery service and diet-consultation programs.

The company quickly expanded its product range from just a few hundred to over 3,000 during the COVID-19 crisis. It became Egypt’s largest healthy-shopping destination. After raising seed funding from AUC Angels and UI Investment, the company plans to expand further.

Mohamed Ali, founder of 3attar, stated that 3attar aims to be the leading one-stop shop in Egypt for all health issues and will expand into MENA by offering a holistic lifestyle app.

3attar will use the funding to grow its customer base, and to further develop its tech stack in order to achieve higher order volumes and revenue.

Mariam Kamel, AUC Angels, stated that the specialised ecommerce space has seen an increase in venture capital and angel investments this year.

She said that 3attar does not just satisfy this need, but also strives to make an impact on the rising trends toward healthier living.
