5X5 Gaming Raises $1.7M in Seed Funding 

5X5 Gaiming, a San Francisco, CA-based cross-platform gaming company, raised $1.7M in Seed funding.

The round was led by Com2uS, Harmony, The Sandbox and YGG, with participation from Dialectic Capital, Lucid Blue Ventures, Ed Lu, Michael Vorhaus and Andrew Chan.

The company intends use the funds to develop core games.

5X5 Gaming’s founder and CEO Deniz Gezgin is the company’s CEO.

5×5 Gaming is headquartered in San Francisco, but has employees in Los Angeles, Chicago, Mexico, Vietnam, India and Turkey.

The company’s first game, Battle of KingdomsThe game will honor and celebrate a variety of cultures around the globe and allow players to digitally collect, play and own (via NFTs), historical soldiers and warriors from different cultures. To ensure that all characters and nations are properly represented, the company has been consulting historians and other local experts.

Gezgin brings a broad range of experience to lead 5×5 Gaming. He is a former member of the teen Turkish athletics team and worked his way through college.
