The fourth annual Africa Tech Summit will host the Africa Startup Summit. It will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on February 23rd-24th. It also includes the Africa Money & DeFi Summit as well as the Africa Mobile Summit.
This two-day meeting of international and African tech leaders will highlight Africa’s rapidly changing start-up ecosystem, entrepreneurial potential, and the opportunities it offers.
Ten start-ups from Africa will speak in front of more than 500 leaders in the African tech industry, including corporates, accelerators and investors. They will discuss their company’s solution, and the overall question.
The Africa Tech Summit team will select startups from Africa and give them the opportunity to present their businesses and request funding or partnerships live to a group international and local business leaders.
Andrew Fassnidge (Founder of Africa Tech Summit) said, “We are pleased to welcome back African start ups to Pitch Live at Africa Tech Summit.” Despite the difficult economic environment in the world, many African tech companies have prospered over the years. There are exciting new start ups. Africa Startup Summit is about supporting the ecosystem, providing a platform for startups to meet investors and corporations.
He said that while we are open to applications from all industries, we are especially interested in companies that address climate and water sustainability and positive change as well as the next wave DeFi and Web3.0.
A select group of startups will have access to the whole event, which will include three Summits. They will also be able participate in a variety of talks, seminars, and networking opportunities.
A startup must have at least one African cofounder to be eligible. It must also not be older than five years, have a functioning prototype, and raise less than $1,000,000 in capital.
To participate, startups must be physically present in Nairobi.
