Athletic Greens Raises $115M in Funding


Athletic Greens is a New York-based foundational nutritional company that raised $115M in funding.

Alpha Wave Ventures led the round with participation from Mark Vadon and SC. Holdings. Dr. Peter Attia was also present.

Rick Gerson, Chairman of Alpha Wave Global and Mark Vadon (founder of Zulily and Blue Nile and former Chairman of Chewy), will be joining the Athletic Greens Board of Directors.

The company plans to use the funds for its subscribers to grow faster, to invest in global manufacturing and logistics capabilities, as well as to expand its distribution through digital and offline channels.

Athletic Greens was founded in 2010 by Chris Ashenden, the CEO. They offer a variety of convenient and comprehensive daily nutrition products that can be used to help you get the nutrition your insurance companies need. AG1, the company’s flagship product is a foundational nutritional drink that combines more than nine essential nutrition products into one drink. This gives customers an efficient and easy way to get their multivitamins, multi minerals, probiotics, prebiotics, functional greens blends, immune support complex, and more. AG1 is a complex mix of 75 vitamins and minerals and whole-food-sourced ingredients. It contains no GMOs and no harmful ingredients.
