Atom Computing is a Berkeley-based creator and manufacturer of quantum computers, has closed a $60M Series A funding round.
Third Point Ventures led the round, followed by Primer Movers Lab, and insiders such as Innovation Endeavors and Venrock. Curtis McKee (Partner at Third Point Ventures) will be joining the Board of Directors.
The company plans to use the funds for the construction of its second-generation quantum computing system and to commercialize the technology.
