Autograph Raises $170M in Series B Funding

Autograph is a Web3 company based in Los Angeles that is committed to creating new digital experiences. They closed a Series B funding totaling $170M.

The round was co-led jointly by a16z, Kleiner Perkins, with participation from Lightspeed Partner Nicole Quinn’s firm and Katie Haun’s firm. There was also a follow-up investment made from 01A.

The company plans to use the funds for scaling its NFT technology with renowned sports and entertainment partners.

Autograph was launched in July 2021, by Tom Brady. It is an NFT platform that combines iconic brands with legendary names in entertainment, sports and culture to create unique digital experiences and collections for users all over the globe. The platform already has success with NFT collection drops featuring Tiger Woods and Naomi Osaka, Tony Hawk and Tony Hawk, as well entertainment partners like Slam Magazine.

Autograph has named prominent new board members, including Katie Haun (who runs her own company), Arianna Simpson (General Partnership at a16z), and Ilya Fushman(Partner at Kleiner Perkins). Chris Dixon, General Partner at a16z, will join the board along with current members 01A partner Dick Costolo (Velvet Sea Ventures partner Michael Lazerow). They will join co-founders and cochairmen Richard Rosenblatt & Tom Brady, CEO Dillon Rosenblatt, Eddy Cue, Sam BankmanFried, Adam Bain aka The Weeknd and Peter Mattoon and Michael Meldman.
