Raises $15.3M in Series A Funding

Bardeen, a San Francisco, CA-based provider of “automation for all” tools, raised $15.3m in Series A funding.

Insight Partners was the lead investor. Other investors included 468 Capital and FirstMark Capital as well as angel investors. Praveen Akkiraju, Managing Director at Insight Partners, is joining Bardeen’s board.

The company, which has raised a total of $18.8m to date, intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Founded in 2020 by Artem Harutyunyan and Pascal Weinberger, is a provider of proactive workflow automation platform which helps knowledge workers automate repetitive tasks and allows them to control web apps from anywhere. The platform integrates to most common tools like G-Suite. Jira. Slack. Trello. Notion. ClickUp. Coda. It also has its own tools like an AI module for OCR and text-to-speech, as well as a website data scraper. It ships with hundreds of pre-built “Playbooks” which can be instantly used by anyone to automate their workflows with just one click. You can also create and customize your own Playbook to share with friends or colleagues. It is widely used by freelancers, sales teams, agencies, and recruiters.

The Bardeen browser extension can be downloaded and used to select from a wide range of pre-built automations. This includes copying information from apps into spreadsheets, scraping data from web sites, reminding people about upcoming meetings, and more. Users can modify or create custom automation workflows to meet their specific needs.

Since its launch in February 2022, Bardeen has grown its monthly active user base by 4x to more than 20,000.
