CertiK, a blockchain cybersecurity company has raised nearly $88 million in an equity offering, according to a new regulatory filing on Thursday. CoinDesk reached out to CertiK for more information about the filing.
March 23rd was the date for the first sale of the offering. The offering attracted 15 investors and sold $87,999.975 in total.
CertiK provides the active monitoring platform Skynet detects and protects Blockchains from Cyberattacks. Security Leaderboard is also offered by the company. It’s a security ranking platform for decentralized finance and blockchain protocols.
CertiK announced an $80 million funding round in December at a $1 billion valuation. The round, led by Sequoia Capital China, had been the company’s third round of financing within four months.
The timing of this latest round of funding may have been a good one. A $625 million exploit of Ronin, the network powering popular crypto game Axie Infinity, was disclosed earlier this week.
