buymie Raises €7M in Funding


buymie, a Dublin, Ireland-based basket same-day grocery delivery platform, raised €7M in funding.

The round was led by Grosvenor Food & AgTech, Act Venture Capital, Sure Valley Ventures, Haatch Ventures, and HBAN with participation from Keith Weed CBE, and Eamonn Quinn.

The company plans to use the funds for rapid market expansion in Ireland and the UK. There are currently over 200 cities being considered.

Devan Hughes is the CEO of buymie. A big-basket, same-day grocery delivery platform that uses a real-time order bundle algorithm to reduce individual car trips by grocery shopping. The company is closely associated with official retailers Dunnes Stores (Lidl), The Co-op (The Co-op), and Asda. buymie now has a staff of 70+ and a network with over 400 personal shoppers.

This service is available for over 2,000,000 households in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Cork, Galway, Leeds, and Bristol in the UK.
