Calgary Fintech Award launches with a $250,000.00 Cash Prize

Digital Commerce Bank(DCBank) Platform Calgary has announced the launch of the Calgary Fintech Award – western Canada’s first major fintech award. It offers founders the opportunity to win up to $250,000 in non-dilutive cash and a programming component. The Calgary Fintech Award will help fintech startups grow in Calgary. “Calgary is an emerging fintech hub. Our role at Platform is to connect startups to the resources they need to grow strong roots here in our city”, Terry Rock, Platform Calgary CEO. “The Calgary Fintech Award will do just that – we’ll connect fintech startups with a group of world-class advisors, mentors and judges, and accelerate the growth of their business amongst other global fintech startups. To sweeten the deal, they’ll be competing for a chance to win a cash prize of up to $250,000 they can use towards their business.”

25 startups will be chosen to take part in the 6-week program. Startup founders will have access to exclusive workshops, thought leadership panels discussions, coaching sessions and advisory sessions with industry professionals, as well peer networking opportunities. The grand cash prize will be awarded to the top five selected startups. The fall 2022 Awards Ceremony will announce the winners.
