Certiverse is a Chicago-based provider of online exam development systems. It raised $2m in seed funding.

Zeal Capital Partners was one of the backers, as were existing investors Hyde Park Venture Partners and Angeles Investors. Hunt Holdings, LP was also supported.

The funds will be used by the company to accelerate scheduled product and service improvements to its test development system.

Certiverse is led by Ruben Arturo Garcia, CEO and co-founder. Certiverse uses machine learning, psychometric standards and asynchronous contributions to create exams. Certiverse allows organizations to expand and diversify their subject matter experts, create valid test content at scale and have a lower environmental impact.

In late 2020, the company was founded and launched its first live exam through The Linux Foundation. This new entry-level IT certification was created in just 12 weeks, which is roughly one-third of the traditional timeframe. It also does not require upfront content creation costs.
