Choix Raises $1M in Seed Funding

Choix, a San Francisco, CA-based telehealth clinic focused on abortion, sexual and reproductive healthcare, secured $1 million in its initial seed round.

The round was led by Elevate Capital, a venture capital fund. The funding was completed by Nitin Rai (founder and managing partner of Elevate Capital). He has been also elected a Choix board Member.

The company, which plans to raise an additional $500k to $1m in the coming months, intends to use the funds to expand operations and its business reach.

Choix is co-founded by Cindy Adam as CEO and cofounder. It offers safe and affordable telemedicine abortions, as well as sexual and reproductive health care. The company’s virtual-first model makes it easy to access discreet, safe and affordable abortion care. This is done without the need for an appointment. Additionally, it offers services at a fraction of the cost of traditional in-person visits. Choix currently serves people in California, Colorado and Illinois, and also offers emergency contraception, birth control, genital herpes care, cold sore treatment and UTI treatment.
