Codetta Biosciences, which is based in Morrisville, NC, offers a digital spatial polymerase reaction (dsPCR), and digital spatial immunopolymerase chain reactions (dsiPCR). It raised $15M in Series-A funding.

The round was led by Anzu Partners with participation from Genoa Ventures and VC23 LLC.

The company intends to use the funds to accelerate the development of its multi-omic dsPCR platform and scale up its workforce in R&D, engineering, marketing, and business administration.

TJ Johnson is the CEO of Codetta Biosciences, a life science company that develops a digital spatial polymerase reaction (dsPCR), and digital spatial immunopolymerase chain react (dsiPCR), platforms for multi-omic analysis using a single specimen. The integrated platform of reagents and hardware allows simultaneous, multi-plexed, multi-omic analysis of liquid biopsy as well as isolated DNA, RNA, and proteins. Researchers can analyze viral and bacterial targets and mutations and deletions more efficiently than traditional technologies. The technology provides more high-quality data with a single specimen and maintains a simple workflow from sample to answer.
