Cosmian Raises €4.2M in Funding


Cosmian, a Paris, France-based deeptech startup specialized in cryptography and advanced encryption technologies, raised €4.2m in funding.

Backers included Elaia Partners and Guillaume Amblard as well as the family holding company Fiblac.

The company plans to use the funds for faster distribution and to continue innovating its products.

Cosmian, founded by Sandrine Murphy and Bruno Grieder in France, is a deeptech firm that allows companies to protect sensitive data and applications, without compromising security or privacy.

Cosmian collaborates closely with top European laboratories and is advised and assisted by David Pointcheval (CNRS 2021 silver medalist) and Professor Nigel Smart, who head the COSIC research group at KU Leuven University.

Twenty employees make up the company. These include researchers and developers of cryptography excellence. The company has also formed technological partnerships with major players like Intel and Denodo (the leader in data virtualization).
