Crypto Exchange KuCoin launches $100M Fund for NFT Makers

KuCoin, a Singapore-based cryptocurrency trading platform, announced Tuesday the launch a $100 Million Creators Fund to support early stage non-fungible tokens (NFT) projects according to a press statement.

This fund is in addition to the recently launched KuCoin Windvane NFT Marketplace. KuCoin explained that Windvane gives creators access the large exchange traffic and the support from the community to build initial NFT offerings.
Launched in 2017, the KuCoin exchange reached 10 million registered users at the end of the last year and currently has a daily trading volume of about $2.2 billion, according to CoinGecko data.
KuCoin Creators Fund is a joint venture between Windvane and the exchange’s venture capital arm, KuCoin Ventures. According to the press release, NFT verticals of interests include art, sports, profile photos (PFPs), Asian culture and celebrities, as well as GameFi.
The Windvane marketplace offers standard features, including minting and trading. 99 NFT creators will be invited by the fund to join it. Windvane supports all the popular NFT blockchains such as Ethereum, BSC, and Flow.
