Egyptian edtech Sprints raises $1.2 Million Series A round

Sprints, an educational startup, has raised $1.2 million in Series A funding. The Alexandria Angels Network, as well co-members of MED Angels, Challenge Fund and EdVentures were the leaders of the round.

Startups offer guaranteed placement programmes to benefit all graduates. Training programs are paid in equal installments, without interest.

Sprints was founded in 2019 by Ayman Basraa, Bassam Sharkawy and focuses on young adults aged 18-35 who are looking to start or grow their careers in software development in the Middle East/Africa region.

“Over the past two years, the company has successfully delivered 20,000 learning experiences. The company aims to revolutionize the technology sector by raising skills and employing one million young people,” Ayman Bazraa, co-founder and CEO of Sprints, said.
