Funding of $10M was raised by Elastrin Therapeutics, a Greenville-based biotechnology company.
Starbloom Capital, SC Launch and Kizoo Technology Capital participated in the round.
The company plans to use the funds for expansion and development.
Elastrin Therapeutics, a biotech company that develops therapies to reverse heart disease, was established in 2018. It is a spinout company from Clemson University. ELT001 is a EDTA-loaded, nanoparticle that has been conjugated with a proprietary monoclonal anti-vascular calcification antibody.
