The $8m Series A funding was secured by Electives, a Boston-based company called.
Accomplice Ventures was the lead, and G2O Ventures participated with Boston Seed Capital.
The funds will be used by the company to expand its operations and business reach.
Jason Lavender, the CEO and cofounder, and Krikor Zzeronian, the COO and cofounder, are the founders and leaders of Electives. Electives is a learning platform that matches educators with employers based upon employee preferences and organizational needs. The platform now has over 100 teachers, including top business school professors and improv comedians. They also have FBI agents, social justice advocates, as well as professional athletes. The topics covered by the classes include New Manager Training, Leadership Development and Storytelling, Gender Identity, Selling Virtually, and Leadership Development.
The company also provides DE&I classes and follows up with additional content after each class to increase retention and engagement with the material.
