Fidel API Raises $65M in Series B Funding

Fidel API raised $65M in Series B Funding, a provider of financial infrastructure platforms based in London, UK.

The round, which brings Fidel API’s total funding to $88 million since inception, was led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from existing investors NYCA Partners, QED Investors and more.

The funds will be used by the company to expand its product and workforce offerings. They intend to double their global headcount, with a special emphasis on sales, engineering and product hires. The additional capital will be used to accelerate investments in existing products and newer product capabilities, including identity verification, consent managing, payments, and payment processing.

Fidel API was founded by Dev Subrata (CEO), and Andre Elias(CTO). It allows developers create programmable experiences that increase the value of accepting and using payment cards. The platform offers identity, data and payment products. Developers can use it to secure connect payment cards with applications or services. This infrastructure allows developers to create highly contextualized user experiences that are event-driven at the point of purchase. Start-ups through global enterprises, including Google, Royal Bank of Canada and British Airways, are leveraging Fidel API’s tools to power a range of solutions including digital receipts, omni-channel attribution, loyalty and rewards, expense management and personal finance management.

In 2018, the company was launched. It also has offices located in Lisbon, New York, or remote employees around the world.
