Gameto raises $23M in funding

Gameto is a biotech startup based in NYC and Boston, MA that solves the problem of accelerated female ovarian age. It has raised $20m Series A funding.

Future Ventures led the round, which also included participation from Lux Capital, Bold Capital Partners and Plum Alley. Anne Wojcicki was also involved. Gameto also received $3m in Seed financing in March 2020 from a variety of investors, including Jack Abraham and SALT Fund, FJLabs, Dan Rose, Brian Armstrong, and Brian Armstrong.

Gameto’s CEO Dr. Dina Radenkovic and Chairman Martin Varsavsky are building a platform to offer ovarian therapy. This will initially address the menopause and increase assisted fertility using three sequential programs.

  1. Fertilo – To increase assisted fertility and to eradicate infertility over the long-term for all women.
  2. Deovo – To start drug discovery and to create a computational platform for ovarian ageing.
  3. Ameno – This is a project to make menopause less burdensome.
