Google has unveiled the smart watch pixel watch from Google

The Google Pixel Watch has finally been revealed, following years of rumors and weeks-long leaks. True, yesterday the company limited itself to only a small announcement of smartwatches, saving the main release until the presentation of the Google Pixel 7, which should be presented in the fall.

The Google Pixel Watch is a familiar design. The exterior of the Google Pixel Watch is identical to those photos and renders of smartwatches leaked to the network prior to the announcement. They received a round body, a button on the side and a “tactile” wheel. The case is made from recycled stainless steel with interchangeable straps.

As expected, the main feature of the Pixel Watch is the proprietary Wear OS 3 operating system, which will offer some improvements, an “updated user interface” with improved navigation and smart notifications. Support for cellular networks was also mentioned.

FINALLY, THE PIXEL WATCH IS OFFICIAL

Speaking of software, Google emphasized the presence of the company’s stock apps, as well as deep integration with Fitbit. This includes apps such as Google Maps, Assistant, and Google Wallet. Wear OS will soon include Emergency SOS, which allows you to call emergency services and contact family members for assistance.

Google Pixel Watch owners will be able to sync their data with their Fitbit account; and will also use all of Fitbit’s latest algorithms for monitoring physical activity and health. Fitbit did not actively participate in the creation and launch of the Pixel Watch. However, the company will release future Fitbit-branded smartwatches with WearOS.

The hardware details of the Google Pixel Watch’s hardware are not being revealed by the company. They will be kept confidential until then. This product is expected to be a premium product that will work with Android 8.0 or higher.

The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will be released in the fall and will be the world’s first smartphones with Android 13 out of the box. The proprietary SoC Tensor will power the hardware, but it is already the second generation. Today, finally Google revealed the colors of the new products: Pixel 7 will be offered in black, white and yellow, and Pixel 7 Pro in black, white and green.
