Google TV app launches on iOS and expands to over 100 countries

The launch of the 2020 XL in 2020 was more than a year ago. Google TV app available for iOS now If you already have the company’s previous Google Play Movies and TV software installed on your phone, this app will replace it.

Google announced that the TV App is now available in more than 100 countries. It took almost a year for the company to expand into other countries after its launch in the US.

Although the Google TV app offers a large catalogue, including content from Disney Plus and Hulu, HBO Max and YouTube Plus, Netflix content isn’t yet available on Google TV.

The streaming company had opted out of this deal. It would have been incompatible with its goal of having as many diverse content possible to keep its streamers. Netflix, like Google TV is interested in licensing deals.

Tech giants have made big bets on streaming, and launched streaming platforms to make more from their users. Apple launched Apple TV a few years back, at the heights of the pandemic, Disney was founded Disney Plus HBO Max.

Streaming has been very successful but the market has become more difficult to predict.

Netflix shares plunged dramatically in the first quarter, and CNN had to close its doors. CNN Plus it took just weeks for a streaming platform to be launched, and it is now called.

Google had already given the Google TV App a facelift last week, which includes a Highlights Section.

Google TV is still not available in Nigeria. The company stated that it would soon announce more expansion.

On the app, it’s possible to create watchlists around your favourite actors. As you rate shows and movies, the app will improve its suggestions. You’ll also find personalised feeds with links to news, reviews and more. Also, there’s a dedicated section for content you’ve purchased and rented from Google.
