Graft Raises $4.5M in Pre-Seed Funding

Graft, a San Francisco, CA-based startup that emerged from stealth to put modern AI within reach of every organization, raised USD 4.5 million in Pre Seed funding.

The round was headed by GV and included participation from NEA (Essence VC), Formulate Ventures, SV Angel, and Formulate Ventures.

The company plans to use the funds for continued growth of the team, product development and marketing.

Led by Adam Oliner, co-founder and CEO, Graft is a cloud-native platform company that empowers everyone in an organization to wield advanced AI techniques for unlocking the value of all their data, including text, images, audio, video and graphs – with no machine learning skills required, no team to hire and no infrastructure to build or maintain.

This team also includes:

  • Maria Kazandjieva, former director of engineering at Netflix
  • Eric Schkufza (former chief scientist at Amazon).
  • Mick Hakobyan (distinguished tenures with Meta, Netflix, and Microsoft).
  • Irina Kalciu (former senior researcher at VMware).
  • Brian Calvert (former machine learning platform technical lead at Cruise Automation).
