GreenHouse Capital, Microsoft select 13 companies for Scaleup Accelerator

GreenHouse Capital, Microsoft and the 13 selected startups from East and West Africa have been announced by Microsoft.

Microsoft and GreenHouse Labs joined forces earlier this year to create an accelerator program targeted at startups in the pre-Series B stage, looking to launch in new markets.

The programme is six weeks long and aims at providing startups with funding opportunities, access to technology infrastructure, and technical skills. It concludes with a demo day, connecting them to investors.

Nine of those selected are from Nigeria, namely OurpassOne HealthGetEquityOystrChekkitEight MedicalHerconomyPharmarun and Mobiele. Three are Kenyan, namely BuuPassGobeba and Zydii, while Tanzania’s Afya Bora completes the list.

This programme will consist of 12 instructor-led sessions and 10 workshops, as well as three-panel discussions. Each session is specifically designed to help startups scale up and raise funding rounds in the future.
