iTrustCapital Raises $125M in Series A Funding

iTrustCapital is a Long Beach-based software platform that allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies via individual retirement accounts (IRAs). It has received $125m Series A equity funding with a post-money value of over $1.3 billion.

Left Lane Capital led the round. Matthew Miller from Left Lane joined iTrustCapital’s Board of Directors in conjunction with the funding.

The company intends to use the funds to grow products and services, scale-up client service and development teams and explore strategic acquisitions.

Founded by Blake Skadron and Todd Southwick in 2018, iTrustCapital offers a Crypto IRA Software Platform that allows clients to transact cryptocurrency with the tax benefits of their IRA. All qualified US-based investors, except NY and HI, have access to the software platform. It currently offers access to 25 cryptocurrencies as well as physical silver and gold.

The company is exploring new features for clients in the near term, including crypto staking and the possibility of participating in governance activities via governance tokens such as Uniswap and Compound, MakerDAOO, Sushi and Polkadot.
