Jeenie, a Washington, DC-based provider for a virtual interpreting platform connecting patients and clinicians to interpreters on demand, has raised $9.3M through Series A funding.
Transformation Capital led the round.
The funds will be used by the company to expand its operations and business reach.
Jeenie, which is led by Kirsten Baker, CEO, connects users to video or audio calls with qualified interpreters in over 300+ languages. This allows for 24/7 on-demand language assistance. The platform allows users to connect with interpreters from any device, including a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Third-party integrations are also available.
It is currently being used in hundreds of healthcare facilities in the U.S.
