Kairos Ventures closes third fund at $58 million

Kairos Ventures is a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm that invests in life sciences and physical technology. It closed its third fund with $58M.

Fund III made 27 investments in companies like:

  • Vivodyne, a bioengineering company creating fully-vascularized human organoids (“organs-on-chip”) and can deploy them in fully automated instruments conducting thousands of experiments at a time;
  • PteroDynamics is an aircraft design and manufacturing company which has developed and patent a unique drone with folding wings.
  • Linnaeus, an early stage biotech company that studies and develops cancer treatments using the signaling of the female sexhormone as a defense against cancer.

The funds remaining will be used primarily to support existing investments.
