Laminar, a Tel Aviv, Israel-based public cloud data security provider, raised USD30M in extended Series A funding.
Tiger Global Management led the round, as did Salesforce Ventures.
The company intends use the funds to increase product innovation and sales growth, as well as to build out its global team.
Laminar’s CEO Amit Shaked, and Oran Avraham, CTO, provide a Cloud Data Security Platform. This protects all data that is built and run in the cloud using cloud providers and cloud storages like Snowflake. The platform continuously and autonomously discovers new datastores, classifies them, and prioritizes risk according to sensitivity and data risk. It also secures data by removing weak controls and monitoring for egress or access anomalies.
The following capabilities were just announced:
- Microsoft Azure support added
- The complete suite of data-centric security policy:
- Ability to search and classify data in embedded databases that are self-hosted
