Landed, a San Francisco-based provider of a recruitment tool for the restaurant industry and hospitality sector, ”, has raised $7M in Seed financing.
The round was led by Javelin Venture Partners and Blockchain Capital with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, the founders of Warby Parker, Harry’s, and Allbirds’ Good Friends fund, and the founders of celebrity chef José Andrés’ ThinkFood Group.
The company plans to use these funds to expand its user base and to introduce new product offerings. This will allow it to offer end-to–end support for large restaurant and hospitality chain hiring, as well to add services for blue-collar workers to its platform to promote financial health, including fair, transparent financial products like earned wages access and crypto-enabled banking accounts.
Vivian Wang, CEO of Landed, is the company’s chief executive officer. Landed offers a platform that allows hospitality companies to hire quickly by automating candidate search, engagement and interview scheduling. Blue collar workers are able to download the mobile application and be guided through setting their Landed profiles. This includes details on their work experience and location, shift availability, job goals, and details on their work. Landed’s AI-based intelligent matching technology matches candidates to best fit jobs and employers near them.
Landed Employer portal allows hiring managers to input their criteria and goals across all locations. The system automates the entire process of recruitment with intelligent matching and conversational artificial intelligence technology. This includes sourcing, vetting and engaging candidates and setting up interviews.
The company employs 150K+ blue-collar employees and has hundreds of top employers through its platform. These include Panera, Blaze Pizza and Panera as well as Chick-fil-A and Taco Bell.
