Seed funding of US$7M was raised by Lighthouse Labs, an open metaverse navigation engine designer based in Montreal, Canada.

The round was led by Accel, BlockTower, and Animoca Brands with participation from White Star Capital, Sparkle Ventures, Gemini Frontier Fund, The Graph core developers StreamingFast, Tiny VC, Patricio Worthalter,  Ryan Selkis, Alex Svanevik, and Thibault Launay.

The company plans to use these funds to increase its engineering and community team, expand the universe with which it partners, and launch its platform in Summer 2022.

Lighthouse was founded by Jonathan Brun and Justine Masicotte. It is an open metaverse navigation tool that allows users to search for friends, places, events, creators, assets and experiences in and across virtual worlds. The company’s portal allows users to search for trending activities, create groups of friends and explore the metaverse. They can also see their NFTs and follow specific creators and brands. Lighthouse integrates directly with virtual worlds, allowing it to provide searchability capabilities.
