$6M seed funding was provided to Livegistics, a Detroit, MI-based company that provides a cloud-based material-management system for the construction sector.
The round was led by Refinery Ventures, and BlackOps, with participation from Detroit Venture Partners, Tappan Hill Ventures, and Reinventure Capital.
The company intends to use the funds to grow its hiring and marketing efforts, to scale for national contracts and launch the platform’s second edition in Q2.
Justin Turk, chief executive officer and co-founder of Livegistics is the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Livegistics offers core construction companies a cloud-based material-management system that improves their day to-to-day operations. It also ensures transparency by linking all project stakeholder, contractors, trucks and landfills. The system integrates all project parties in a network of real-time digital information, GPS-tracked. The technology is currently in use in 13 states and six landfills across the U.S.
Livegistics employs over 25 people worldwide.
