MediaTek Kompanio 1380
MediaTek’s Kompanio series processors for Chromebook notebooks are welcomed in the new Kompanio1380 today. Acer also synchronized the launch of Chromebook Spin 513. Other products are likely to follow soon.
MediaTek stated that customers have adopted the Kompanio platform to make popular Chromebook laptops and tablet devices. The Kompanio 1380 offers users a great mobile computing experience, long battery life, and a smaller and lighter device.
MediaTek Kompanio 1380 is a 6-nm process. It integrates eight-core CPUs, including four 3.0GHz AMD A78s, and a Mali-G57 GPU. There’s also support for memory support for LPDDR4X-2133 with quad-channel support.
The integrated APU 3.0 AI engine speeds up photo and video applications and extends battery life. Multimedia: Supports 4K60 HDR display; can output two 4K60 or one 4K60 plus three 4K30; supports AV1 video hardware decoding and an audio DSP. It also supports ultra-low-power voice wake-up. It supports Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 6E for connectivity.
