In Series B funding round $14m was raised by Minut, a Malmoe, Sweden-based inventor of a sensor that monitors the noise, occupancy and temperature in vacation rental homes.
The round was led by Almaz Capital with participation from Zenith, Kompas, Verve Ventures, Swiss Immo Lab, and previous backers Karma, SOSV’s HAX and KPN Ventures.
The company intends use the funds to expand its global presence and to integrate with other property management solutions.
Minut, founded by Nils Mattisson as CEO and co-founder, monitors noise, occupancy and motion in vacation rental properties.
The Minut sensor uses machine learning and AI to analyze sound volume and events, without streaming audio to the cloud. It provides timely and accurate data while protecting guests’ privacy.
The company has formed partnerships in the rental sector with several players, including Kasa Living, Airbnb, and Kasa Living. Now, the company has thousands of devices in operation in over 100 countries and offices in the US and UK.
