Klas, a Nigerian edtech startup that allows anyone to start an online school and offer live classes, has raised US$130,000 in angel funding to scale.
Nathan Nwachuku founded the company in December 2021. Klas allows creators on its platform to teach a variety of subjects via online classes, with its software supporting everything they need to teach online, including payments, scheduling, community, analytics, and video conferencing.
Voltron Capital and Cabal Fund were invested, along with HoaQ and a number prominent members from the African entrepreneurship scene including Tola Adesanmi (Spleet), Odunayo Enegesi(Eden Life), Nadayar Enegesi (“Eden Life”), Njoku Emem (Lazerpay), Leonard Stiegeler (“Jumia”)
Klas will use the funding to “double down on platform innovation” and powering online schools globally as it furthers its mission to unlock the power of knowledge sharing.
