Nigerian fintech startup Syarpa raises 500k in pre-seed round

Nigerian fintech startup Syarpa has raised US$500,000 in pre-seed funding to expand its reach across Europe and Africa.

Syarpa, allows users to perform international money transfers and crypto transactions by offering fiat payment solutions. It has more than 2,000 users and has processed transactions valued at over US$4million since its inception.

After raising US$500,000 in pre-seed financing, the startup plans to expand across Europe and Africa. CrossFund FirstFounders also features Yolo Investments, a strategic angel investor.

“Moving funds or purchasing goods across borders is too complicated. Because there is no one-stop solution, people in Nigeria will need to convert local currency or crypto-assets and move across platforms. Syarpa is built to solve this problem,” said founder and CEO Adedapo Sodipo.
