Nigerian HR startup Bento expands its reach to Ghana, Kenya and Rwanda

Bento, a Nigeria-based digital payroll platform and HR management platform has announced its expansion into three markets. This includes Ghana, Kenya, and Rwanda. This will allow the company to expand its reach in Africa.

Bento was founded in Nigeria in 2019. It automates salary payments, tax and pensions, as well as other statutory remittances. Bento’s cloud-based platform empowers African businesses, and streamlines many processes.

The platform provides access to third-party services for employees such as credit solutions, which allow students to pay monthly school fees and rent, and unemployment insurance.

Bento currently serves more than 900 businesses in Nigeria and is expanding internationally. Bento has obtained operating licenses in all three markets and is building local teams in Ghana Kenya Rwanda. It will also adapt its products to local cultural and financial nuances.

The company plans to continue rapid growth on the continent. It will launch in Egypt and South Africa by 2022.
