The top smartphone manufacturers will soon launch their flagship smartphones one after the other. OPPO will be the first to release the Find X5 series smartphones. The lineup will include three models. The entire series will also be based on the Dimensity 9000 as well as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chips. OPPO revealed that the next-generation Find X flagship series would debut the Dimensity 9000 when the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 5G platform was launched.
OPPO released previously the first self-developed image chip Mariana MariSilicon X. This chip is likely to be featured on the Find X5 series of mobile phones.
The OPPO Find X5 series Snapdragon 8 Gen1 edition is also expected to include self-developed NPU chips. We can’t speak for Dimensity 9000.

OPPO MARISILICON IMAGING CAPABILITIES
MariSilicon X NPUs are manufactured using the 6 nm process. This NPU is designed to improve the quality of photos, videos, and expand the features available in Oppo smartphones’ camera lenses.
Oppo MariSilicon X includes an independent Image Signal Processor. Oppo will not rely on the ISP in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It supports a 20-bit dynamic range of images with 120db and real-time RAW processing for 4K videos. The AI-based unit is capable of applying different algorithms to reduce noise, improve color reproduction, HDR, detail, and dynamic range. To separate the RGBW and white channels, the ISP can be used in conjunction with the company’s new RGBW sensor.
Due to its higher power, the NPU can boost AI-related tasks. It can perform 18 trillion operations per second (TOPS). It will also benefit from a dedicated memory system that can handle such tasks. Normally, an NPU depends on the system’s memory. However, this slows down the processing speed and wastes energy. OPPO is aware that everything is becoming more efficient at power consumption. The company offers 8.4 GB/s of data transfer with its dedicated memory.
