OPPO PAD AIR with snapdragon 680 had its specs detailed

Although it took many years, the Android tablet market is finally back. The lackluster software experience had made the segment of Android tablets irrelevant for years. However, companies noticed a huge demand for large-sized tablets after the pandemic. Even Google “noticed” how tablets are important and decided to improve Android on these devices. With its Pad series, Xiaomi returned and the BBK electronics group decided to push their brands into the tablet category. After the Realme Pad, we saw Oppo and Vivo following with their respective “Pads”. Now, after realizing a “flagship oriented” Oppo Pad, the Chinese brand is preparing the terrain for a mid-range contender. The new device is expected to be launched later this month and will carry the Oppo Pad Air moniker.

Apparently, Oppo will not make much buzz for this tablet release. The brand has put the slate on pre-orders through its Chinese handles. Interestingly, the company’s listing reveals that the new tablet will carry support for the Oppo Pencil. That’s not a big surprise, after all, the Oppo Pencil is quite “basic” compared to the Samsung’s S-Pen for example. A listing showed that it will support a keyboard folio cover. It is possible that the company will release a new case for this folio keyboard to accompany the tablet. This case may be more affordable than the one that comes with the Oppo Pad with Snapdragon870 SoC.

OPPO PAD AERIAL SPECIFICATIONS

Oppo Pad Air will feature a 10.36 inch LCD screen with 2,000×1,200 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The tablet will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC and Adreno 610 GPU. This processor isn’t the most powerful of the current date. It appears to be a Snapdragon 662/ 665 built on modern 6 nm architecture. It’s more for power efficiency than for brute force. That said, you’ll be able to run every day, study, and work-related apps without much hassle. It may not be the best for gaming.

It will be equipped with a large 7,100mAh battery that can fast charge at 18 W. A Quad-Stereo Speaker will be available with Dolby Atmos audio. A single rear camera will be included as well as a selfie snapper. It is currently impossible to know the resolution of these cameras. Anyway, we’re not expecting more than a 13 MP main camera, and an 8 MP selfie snapper. The tablet will run Android 12 OS with ColorOS 12 on top.

In the coming months, Oppo Pad Air will be available worldwide.
