As each day goes by, Oppo Reno 8 series leaked are increasing. We heard yesterday about the Oppo Reno 8 SE. Until now, we’ve heard about the Oppo Reno 8, Reno 8 Pro, and Reno 8 SE. It seems there will be at least one additional device in the new lineup. The Oppo Reno 7 series was not the only device in the new lineup. However, there will be a Pro Plus version, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro+. Popular tipster Mukul Sharma just revealed some key specs for the new handset. According to him, the device won’t be a rival for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 / Dimensity 9000 range, but will still be considered a step above the lineup.
OPPO ReNO 8 PRO+ ALLEGED SPECIFICATIONS
According to the tipster the Oppo Reno 8 Pro Plus 5G will join the other devices. It will feature a Full HD+ Full HD+ AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 6.7-inch display. Under the hood of the phone, you will find the MediaTek Dimensity8100MAX SoC. These specs are reminiscent of the OnePlus 10R, which was officially known in China as OnePlus Ace. Hopefully, this won’t be another plain rebranding. In fact, it seems that Oppo’s custom MariSilicon X NPU will be onboard. The NPU will improve the performance of the camera, at most.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ has a 32 MP camera. To the rear, there will be a 50 MP Sony IMX766 maincam. A triple-camera setup will be available with an 8MP ultrawide snapper and a 2MP macro camera. The 4,500 mAh lithium-ion battery will provide the power for the device. The device will also have an 80 W fast charging to make it easy to charge the battery from 100 to flat. NFC and dual stereo speakers are other specifications. As usual, the device won’t bring a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro+ will have an aluminum frame. We expect the standard glass sandwich design. It will weigh in at just 183g and have a profile of 7.34mm. There will be at least three colorways – Grey, Black, and Green. Oppo will, of course, use fancy names to describe each color.
We expect more details to emerge soon. The exact release date of these smartphones is unknown at this time. They will be available in June, or possibly even July. That’s the usual spot for the Oppo Reno series’ first yearly release. By the end of the year, we’ll probably see the Oppo Reno 9 series in China.
