Pangea Cyber Secures $25M of Series A Funding

Pangea Cyber Corporation, a Palo Alto, CA-based company that provides application builders with a comprehensive portfolio of API-based security services through a single platform, raised $25M in Series A funding.

The round was led by Ballistic Ventures with participation from SYN Ventures, Godfrey Sullivan (Former Chairman & CEO, Splunk), George Kurtz (Founder & CEO, CrowdStrike) and Dan Plastina (Former VP AWS Security Products).

The funds will be used by the company for product development.

Pangea, co-founded in 2012 by Oliver Friedrichs & Sourabh Satish is a global provider of security services to cloud and mobile app developers, SaaS platforms providers and security operation centers. Pangea will release several dozen API-based microservices. Pangea will offer its own services, including Secure Audit Log and Secure Object Store. Secure File Share and Embargo Check are also available. Pangea plans on aggregating and offering third-party APIs through partnerships. Pangea’s Secure Audit Log, Redact and Embargo Check services are available now through the company’s early access program.
