Pick n Pay Clothing Online is Firing on All Cylinders

Pick n Pay Clothing’s online shopping business is booming. In October 2020, the company launched its online store to attract customers affected by COVID-19.

Pick n Pay announced today that online clothing sales increased by 233% year over year thanks to its strategic partnership and Zando online retail platform.

Retailer also stated that the clothing division had made great progress with sales growth of 21.0% annually.

“The strong performance was driven by solid market share gains across a number of women’s, men’s and childrenswear categories, for the fourth consecutive year. On a two-year compound annual growth basis, clothing sales have increased by 11.7%,” said Pick n Pay.

“The division’s solid performance reflects its clear customer value proposition and highly efficient operating model, built on the principle of providing high-quality wardrobe essentials at incredible prices.”

40% of total clothing sales are sourced locally. “It has provided the opportunity for exciting collaborations with local designers and entrepreneurs while reducing order lead times and maintaining high levels of availability,” said the retailer.

This year, the Group opened 22 new net clothing stores.

“Pick n Pay Clothing is a strategic priority for the Group, and the offer will continue to expand through new stand-alone clothing stores (66 planned for FY23), additional space in supermarkets, and a growing online offer.”
