Prophecy is a Palo Alto-based platform for enterprise low-code data engineering. It raised $25m in Series B funding.

Insight Partners led the round, which also included participation from Seed Investors SignalFire, Berkeley Skydeck, and Dig Ventures. Insight Partners’ managing director George Mathew joined Prophecy’s board in conjunction with the funding.

The company has raised over $31m in funding. It plans to use the funds for its go-to-market team expansion and to improve its low-code data engineering platform.

Prophecy, headed by Raj Bains, is a platform that allows you to create, deploy, and manage data processing using software engineering best practices. Data teams must not only develop new workloads but also migrate thousands of ETL workloads from the old cloud. The company developed a patent-pending transpiler to address this problem. It automatically converts AbInitio and Informatica ETL workloads into high-quality Spark codes that can be imported into Prophecy with the new workloads.

A number of Fortune 500 companies already use the platform to manage their data infrastructure.
