Risk Strategies, a nationally recognized specialty insurance brokerage and risk-management firm, has announced today that it has acquired The Insurance Center of Central Florida (ICCF), a firm primarily focused on crafting risk management solutions for private clients. The terms of this deal were not disclosed.
ICCF is headquartered in Melbourne, Florida. It was established by Frank Hanrahan, its president and founder. The firm offers coverages and risk management advice to area businesses and offers vehicle and property insurance.
“As we build our presence and client services capabilities in Florida, we saw ICCF as a great cultural and business fit,” said Scott Popilek, Risk Strategies Atlantic Region Leader. “We’re excited to welcome Frank and his entire team to the Risk Strategies family.”
Hanrahan, a Pittsburgh native whose father was also an insurance broker, moved to Florida in 1991 and founded ICCF. Because of its expertise in the Florida market, which was particularly challenging after Hurricane Andrew in 1992 and subsequent acquisitions, the firm grew steadily organically and through acquisitions.
“We are located in the home of the John F. Kennedy Space Center. This area’s population has a clear need for specialized expertise in risk management for successful individuals and families, and area businesses,” Hanrahan. “Becoming part of a specialty brokerage like Risk Strategies benefits our existing clientele and creates exciting new opportunities to grow and perpetuate the business.”
Risk Strategies continues to buy complementary companies with a compelling value proposition that add to the Risk Strategies family. Since its inception, more than 100 companies have joined Risk Strategies, each one with their own specialization and capabilities.
