Samsung galaxy z fold 4 image stacking: telephoto surpasses s22 ultra

South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, is getting set to unveil two foldable smartphones. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will be revealed by the company along with the Galaxy Z Flip 4 very soon. Popular tech blogger, @iceuniverse revealed some information regarding the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. Recent leaks reveal that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a triple rear camera setup. It will have a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens. The smartphone also supports 3x optical zoom.

According to reports, the telephoto lens of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is even more powerful than that of the S22 Ultra. The 3x telephoto lens of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra uses a 10-megapixel Sony IMX754 with a 1/3.52-inch photosensitive area and a single-pixel size of 1.12μm. It supports dual-core full-pixel focusing.

For the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, it is expected that the telephoto lens will use its own CMOS, which is the Samsung S5K3J1 on the previous generation S21 Ultra. The sensor area and single-pixel of the Sony CMOS are both larger than those found in the Galaxy Z Fold 4. This will result in a better video experience.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 has been shown in a few renders. These renders show the arrangement of the camera modules and are similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. External screen measures 6.2 inches. The ratio is 5 to 4 from the previous generation. After unfolding it, it will become 6:5. With a ratio 24.5:9, the inner screen will be 7.6 inches. This makes it 23:9. Overall, the phone is larger than the previous generation.

The new Snapdragon 8 Gen1+ mobile platform will be used by the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It will be lighter at 250g.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4 builds on the industrial design of Galaxy Z Fold 3. It has a thin outer screen with a punch-hole central screen. An under-screen camera technology is used for the inner screen. The inner screen is free from a punch-hole or a notch. On the whole, it looks like a “remote control” in the folded state, and a full screen when unfolded.

@WaqarKhanHD claims the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s external screen is 6.19 inches and the internal screen is 7.56 inches. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate. This device can charge at 45W and will come pre-installed the Android 12 operating software. As usual, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will debut in the second half of this year.
