Sibros is a San Jose-based connected vehicle platform company that raised $70m through Series B funding.
Energy Impact Partners (EIP), Fontinalis Partners and Google (NASDAQ: GOOG), Iron Pillar, Qualcomm Ventures, and existing investors Nexus Venture Partners, Moneta Ventures, led the round. Shawn Cherian, Partner of EIP, was also part of the Sibros Board of Directors.
The company plans to use the funds for expansion to meet global demand and large customer deployments of its vertically connected vehicle platform.
Sibros, headed by CEO Hemant Sikaria provides automakers with a connected car platform that gives them visibility into all software and data of globally connected fleets. It also automates workflows for vehicle over-the-air software updates, data collection, and remote diagnostics in a compliant way. Sibros connects software and data from the edge-to-cloud in one vertically integrated platform. This allows automakers to reduce time-to-market, reduce code defects, and allow hundreds of connected vehicle use cases at a global scale.
Sibros customers include well-known car, truck, bus, and 2-wheeler manufacturers, as well new EV startups in solar and commercial.
