Sigo Seguros Raises $5.4M in Seed Funding

Sigo Seguros, an Austin, TX-based insurtech startup focused on serving Latinx and immigrant communities, raised $5.4m in seed funding.

The round was co-led by Listen Ventures and Chingona Ventures with participation from Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, ERA’s Remarkable Ventures, Kern Venture Group, Edrizio Del La Cruz, Cofounder at Arcus Financial, as well as existing investors Fiat Ventures and Newlin VC.

The company plans to use the funds for expansion and business reach in order to increase access to affordable insurance for working-class and immigrant populations.

Co-Founded by Nestor Hugo Solari, Julio Erdos, and Ivan Arambula in 2019, Sigo Seguros is an insurtech company actively serving Texas, with a mission to provide affordable auto insurance to the Spanish-speaking community. It offers a bilingual, mobile-first platform that simplifies insurance. It offers transparent pricing without any fees or biased rating factors, and covers customers with foreign IDs and licenses.

Sigo Seguros’ inclusive auto insurance product was launched in August 2021. It currently serves Texas and plans to expand into other states in 2023. The company continues to grow with additional key hires: Vice President of Insurance Ashley Wilson and Senior Product Manager Luz Díaz, and will continue to hire for roles across insurance, technology, and business functions.
