Sizzle.gg raises $5 million in seed funding

Sizzle.gg, a San Francisco-based company that provides an AI-driven platform for video game streamers and esports teams has raised $5M in Seed financing.

White Star Capital led the round with participation from Eterna Capital and Progression Fund as well as Mindset Ventures, Mindset Ventures and Xoogler Ventures.

The funds will be used by the company to launch global open access.

Sizzle is headed by Vijay Koduri who is also the CEO and co-founder of Sizzle. He works directly with streamers and leagues in order to provide personalized highlights via Twitch and YouTube. With deep AI to analyze video, audio and chat, Sizzle.gg’s patented technology determines the best highlights in gameplay – including action sequences (battles, kills, goals), funny moments, players involved, weapons used, endings and more – and automatically pulls them. These 15-30 second segments can be used across multiple social platforms such as Twitter, TikTok, and Discord. Each fan can have their own personalized video file based on their favorite games and players. Sizzle.gg also has the ability to create sizzles of 3 to 5 minutes, which are great for YouTube.

The startup works in partnership with esports teams, leagues, and streamers to create automated, personalized highlights, trailers, and trailers from their gameplay.

PUBG Esports USA is a prime example. They use the highlights portal to highlight each stream and then post the best moments on social media.
