Smarter Hosting Raises $2 Million in Funding

Showplace, a Denver, CO-based platform for smarter hosting, raised $2m in funding.

The round was led by Matchstick Ventures with participation from Boost VC, Taurus Ventures, and angel investors Logan Green, CEO of Lyft; Matt Van Horn, CEO of June; Garrett Smallwood, CEO of Wag; Jonathan Chen, Head of M&A at Twitter; and James Beshara, former Director of Product at Airbnb.

The funds will be used by the company to expand its operations and business reach.

Showplace’s CEO and co-founder Justin Miller is leading the company. Showplace leverages collective purchasing power to negotiate pricing for brands like Williams-Sonoma. West Elm and Slumber Cloud. Showplace helps short-term rental investors, operators and property managers save both time and money by allowing them to list new listings and automating restocking.

It has more than 10,000 listings for short-term rentals and in 2021, it placed $8 million worth products into short-term rentals.
