Wamly is a video interview software startup that was founded in 2018 by Francois De Wet. It has now secured a second-round investment from South African venture capital company Knife Capital. Davey Gant (Knife Capital partner, UK), joins the Wamly Board of Directors.
Wamly is a specialist in one-way video interviews software. This allows interviewers and candidates to send candidates a link that will allow them to complete a video interview. The interviewers can set a time limit, a list of questions, and a time limit. The interview can then be viewed and reviewed by the hiring team at a time that suits them.
The cash investment will be used for marketing initiatives, team expansion and product development. Wamly will be positioned as the most trusted software application for local recruiters. It will also work to expand internationally.
Marnus, an entrepreneur and Shark Tank South Africa investor tried de Wet’s interview software in his accounting firm. He was impressed by the time-saving benefits. He saw the potential for thousands of businesses around the globe to achieve the same ROI.
Broodryk says that South Africa is facing a huge unemployment problem and that we can’t afford to let jobs go vacant because of outdated and long-running hiring processes.
